Daily Devotional: The Promise of Resurrection
Bible Verse: John 11:25 (NIV)
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.’”
Reflection:
As we draw near to Easter morning, we sit in the holy stillness of the days leading up to the greatest miracle: Jesus rising from the grave. His resurrection was not only the defeat of death, but the unveiling of our eternal hope.
We live in bodies that tire, break, and bear the marks of life’s battles—but these are not our final forms. Jesus’ victory over the grave made way for our transformation too. There will come a day when we will rise, clothed in incorruptible, glorified bodies, to dwell with Him forever in a kingdom where sorrow and suffering no longer exist.
Until that day, we walk in faith, knowing that the resurrection power of Christ is alive within us right now—healing, renewing, restoring. Every moment of surrender, every choice to trust Him, is a participation in this resurrection life.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for the gift of resurrection. You conquered the grave, not only to live again, but to open the door for me to do the same. Help me to live each day with the hope of heaven in my heart. When I feel weary, remind me of the eternal body and home You are preparing for me. Let this truth awaken new joy, peace, and purpose within me. Amen.
